The Centre is open to anyone living in the areas of Southend and Westcliff and aims to provide a rich and varied programme for the elderly. The service aims to provide a warm and caring environment to anyone who needs special care and support because of special circumstances e.g. bereavement, isolation, or who otherwise feel they may benefit from the therapeutic programme of activities that are on offer.
Our kosher kitchen (not under supervision  of SWHC) provides a full three course nourishing meal every day that the Centre is open and they have two special buses which provide help, when it is needed, to get to and from the Centre. Facilities include, kosher shopping, art and craft, hairdressing, keep fit, entertainment, poetry, outings and companionship.
