to appeal to the 40 plus age group and have a membership of over 230, 90% of
whom are women. Our meetings are warm, friendly and informal, and
membership is £12 per person. There are discounts for all functions if you
are a member.
We raise
a total of £12,000 yearly, including organising the Jewish Women’s Week
Campaign locally, which raises on average £6,000 annually.
These
funds go towards the British WIZO’s
Projects in Israel which include Family Help Centres, Creches, The Rebecca
Sieff Centre in Jerusalem, Rape Crisis Centres and Homes for Battered Women
and Golden Age Homes. WIZO is an international non-political voluntary
charity, raising funds for deprived women and children in Israel regardless
of colour or creed. New members are warmly welcomed.
