The Chalkwell Social Club was founded in 1967 and meets fortnightly at the Reform Shul, 851 London Road, Westcliff (opposite Chalkwell Park) on Sundays from 8pm to 10.15pm throughout the year. This is purely a social club and isn't involved in any fundraising activities. The meetings are informal. Everyone can participate. The majority of members are active retired people. Apart from the opportunity for all members to socialise, there are varied programmes such as quizzes, musical evenings, horse racing, debates, speakers, summer outings and an annual dinner and dance are arranged.
